Privacy Policy

Overview

Our RV Life is an iPhone app developed by Andrzej Pilacik. It helps people privately organize RV information, checklists, trips, favorite places, maintenance, alerts, photos, and documents. The app does not contain advertising, sell personal information, or track people across apps or websites.

Information the app handles

• Account and profile: a Sign in with Apple user identifier and a name supplied by Apple or entered by you. The app does not request your email address.
• RV and travel content: RV details, dealer and membership details, checklists, trips, notes, alerts, favorite places, maintenance records, and mileage.
• Photos and documents: images and files that you explicitly choose, scan, or photograph.
• Location: precise coordinates only when you ask the app to use your current location for weather, a place, home base, dealer coordinates, or a trip point. The app does not track location in the background.
• Preferences: choices such as maps provider, temperature unit, appearance, and list density.

How information is used

Information is used only to provide the app’s features: authenticating you, displaying and organizing your content, synchronizing an RV space, sharing that space with people you invite, showing weather, opening directions, scheduling local reminders, and restoring your content across authorized Apple devices.

Storage and Apple services

RV information is cached on your device for offline use and synchronized through Apple CloudKit in the RV-space owner’s private iCloud database. An owner can explicitly invite other iCloud users to the space using a private CloudKit share. Accepted participants can view and edit the shared content.

Sign in with Apple provides authentication. WeatherKit provides weather forecasts. MapKit and Apple Maps provide search and directions. Notifications are scheduled locally on each device. Apple processes information under its own privacy terms when these services are used.

If you choose Google Maps for directions, the app opens a Google Maps web link. Information you provide after leaving Our RV Life is governed by Google’s policies.

Photos, scans, and text recognition

The app accesses only photos or files you select and camera images you intentionally capture. Text recognition for RV labels, documents, and receipts runs on the device using Apple Vision. The app does not send those files to a third-party OCR provider.

Sharing and disclosure

The developer does not sell, rent, or use your information for advertising. RV-space content is shared only with Apple services needed to operate the app and with the people the owner explicitly invites. The developer does not operate a separate analytics, advertising, or customer-data server.

Your privacy choices

• You can decline location, camera, photo-library, and notification access in iOS Settings. Manual location entry remains available.
• You can edit or delete individual trips, places, photos, documents, alerts, maintenance records, and other content in the app.
• You can sign out without deleting the RV space.
• You can permanently delete your account from My Profile → Delete account. An owner’s deletion removes the complete RV space from iCloud for all participants. An invited participant’s deletion leaves the owner’s space and removes that participant’s access without deleting the owner’s records.

After deleting your RVLife data, you can also revoke the app’s Sign in with Apple authorization in iPhone Settings under your Apple Account → Sign-In & Security → Sign in with Apple → Our RV Life.

Retention

Your information remains on your device and in the applicable private or shared iCloud space until you delete it, delete your account, leave the shared space, or remove the app and its iCloud data. People with access to a shared RV space may retain information they separately exported before deletion.

Children

Our RV Life is not directed to children under 13, and the developer does not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated when the app’s features or data practices change. The effective date at the top identifies the latest version.
